2021 Annual Conference Update

After thoughtful consideration, the IETS Board of Governors has decided to cancel the on-site 2021 IETS Annual Conference and transition the meeting into a virtual experience. The health and safety of IETS members and stakeholders is our priority, and this was felt to be the best and safest course of action in light of the evolving COVID-19 pandemic. In agreement with the local organizing committee, the meeting in Lima, Peru, will be postponed to a subsequent year.

Specific arrangements will be forthcoming soon. In any case, we will keep accepting abstracts and do our best to make it a wonderful virtual experience. The deadline for abstracts remains the same and we look forward to receiving your contributions!

Co-Chairs Letter of Invitation

On behalf of the IETS, we would like to extend a warm invitation to all, to join us for the 47th annual conference of the IETS, in January.

The program theme, "Embryo Technologies in a Changing Climate,” includes the following topics:

  • Sustainable and Safe Food Production
  • Local Food Production
  • Changing Climate: Heat Stress and Tropical Diseases
  • Stopping Time in Reproduction
  • Future Biotechnologies

There will be a Practitioners’ Forum, as well as a parallel session from the Companion Animals, Non-Domestic and Endangered Species (CANDES). The Domestic Animal Biomedical Embryology Committee (DABE) will have a preconference symposium, on “Extracellular vesicles and reproduction,” on Saturday, January 16.

An opening reception will take place on Sunday evening, and on Tuesday evening, there will be a closing dinner and activities.

The abstract system is open for submissions for the program.

Deadline to submit abstracts is Tuesday, September 15, at 11:59 PM, Central Time.

Selection for oral presentations will be based on scientific merit, and priority will be given to abstracts that relate to the main session topics.
