Description

The Partner Society Committee established a fund to bring representatives of new potential partner societies and early career representatives from existing partner societies to the IETS Annual Conference. Richard Fayrer-Hosken's mission as the founder of the Partner Society Committee was to engage and foster partnerships around the world, bringing new societies into the IETS circle.

Submit your nominations by September 15, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. CT!

The winner will attend the Partner Society Luncheon during the IETS Annual Conference, where they will represent their society. 

2026 Nominations

Nominations are accepted yearly from members of IETS with a deadline of September 15, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. CT. Nominations may be initiated by individual members, members of the Awards Committee, or the Board of Governors. A call for nominations will be made by email and publication in the spring newsletter each year. Unless otherwise stated in the description of the award, nominees do not need to be members of IETS, but must be willing to attend the awards ceremony in-person at the IETS Annual Conference (excluding extenuating circumstances). Awards will be presented yearly, provided deserving nominees are forthcoming. Selection will be made by the Foundation Committee Chair and the Partner Society Committee Chair.

Winners will receive $1,000 travel reimbursement and free meeting registration.

Requirements

Applicants will need to provide the following documents to apply:

  • Paragraph on why you are submitting a nomination
  • Letter of intent, including
    • Partner society's research interest,
    • Educational advantage of attending the IETS Annual Conference,
    • Career path,
    • What impact will your attending the IETS Annual Conference have on you,
    • Your Partner Society.
