2024 Annual Meeting, January 8-12

SAVE THE DATE: IETS 50th Anniversary—January 2024

On behalf of the IETS, we would like to extend a warm invitation to all IETS members to join us for the 50th Annual Conference of the IETS, January 8 to 12, 2024, in Denver, Colorado, USA.

This year’s theme, “Past, present, and future of reproductive biotechnologies—IETS 50th Anniversary,” will be presented by excellent and inspiring speakers and will cover the following topics:

  • The past 50 years of IETS and how far we have come,
  • Determinants of pregnancy establishment,
  • Current technologies that changed the direction of the embryo transfer industry,
  • Fetal growth and placental function,
  • New advancements in reproductive technologies, and
  • The future of embryo technologies.

In addition to the main program, there will be three pre-conference symposia, one of which will be held at the National Western Stock Show on January 8. This symposium will be a dynamic day of activities with a focus on communication (e.g., the researcher to the public, the practitioner to the client) and will include public demonstrations of assisted reproductive technologies, interactions with livestock owners, and strategies for successful science communication. On January 9, a second symposium on best practices in in vitro embryo production (IVP) will provide a comparison of methods used in human and livestock embryology laboratories and include a session on managing an IVP laboratory. Also on January 9, the Morulas and Companion Animals, Non-Domestic and Endangered Species (CANDES) groups will co-host a symposium titled “State-of-the-art in CANDES after a quarter century,” which will include presentations on rhinoceros, wild dogs, jaguar, fish, wildlife biobanking, and a keynote lecture on the mysteries of beluga reproduction! The Practitioners’ Forum will be held during the main conference and explore how one decides which embryo to put into which recipient based on embryo stage and grade and evaluation of the recipient.

The start date for the pre-conferences is Monday, January 8, with the main meeting starting on Wednesday, January 10, and ending on Friday, January 12. Meeting events will take place at the Hyatt Regency at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado. All meeting attendees will receive a pass to the National Western Stock show, which can be used any time during the week of the conference.

We welcome all of you to send your valuable scientific contributions for this special occasion of the IETS meeting in 2024. The abstract system is already open for submissions to the program.

The deadline to submit abstracts is Thursday, July 20, at 11:59 p.m., US central time.

Abstracts with scientific merit and relevance to the session topics will be selected for oral presentations.

Come and celebrate this milestone year, the 50th Anniversary of IETS in Denver, Colorado!!
