This symposium will deliver practical strategies for improving reproductive success in vivo and in vitro—from noninvasive embryo selection to nonsurgical transfer techniques, genomic impacts, Wagyu genetics, and breed conservation. The day will close with a roundtable of embryo technology experts on the future of embryo technologies in Europe.

2027 Equine Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ARTs) Preconference Workshop

This workshop will explore the science and skills driving modern reproductive technologies in horses, covering optimizing ovum pick-up selection, nuclear transfer in practice, and approaches to producing more fillies—including sperm and embryo sexing and genetic diversity. In the afternoon, get hands-on experience in workshops on sperm selection, embryo vitrification and warming, and ovum pick-up in vitro.

2027 Domestic Animal Biomedical Embryology (DABE) Committee/Domestic Animal Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DOHaD) and Epigenetics (DADE) Postconference Symposium

This inaugural symposium will trace the journey from gametes to embryo—starting with the paternal small noncoding RNA legacy and epigenetics in embryonic development, then exploring how external conditions shape internal embryo health, from maternal metabolic health’s multigenerational impact on oocyte quality to the legacy of prenatal heat stress on ovarian reserve and mammary function. A dynamic student session will close out the event, focusing on epigenetics, environmental influences, and maternal health from the earliest stages of development.
