Tips for Crafting an Outstanding Abstract

 - Follow the Character Limit
All abstracts must be under 3,300 keystrokes (counting the title, body, keywords, acknowledgments, and table, if included). Please note that hard returns count as two keystrokes.
 - Structure Your Abstract Properly
 A well-organized abstract includes

  - Clear objective statement: Begin with the specific purpose of your study

  - Concise methods: Describe your experimental design, materials, and procedures

  - Key results: Present only the most significant findings with relevant statistical analyses

  - Meaningful conclusion: State the implications of your results and their significance to the field

 - Present Original Research
Your abstract should contain new, unpublished data. Previously published work is not eligible for presentation.
 - Include Appropriate Statistical Analysis
When reporting results, include proper statistical methods and significance levels (p-values) where applicable.
 - Use Clear, Precise Language
Write in complete sentences with proper grammar and spelling while avoiding jargon. Abbreviations must be defined and should be used sparingly.
 - Craft an Informative Title
Create a title that accurately reflects your research content and captures interest. Please note that the title is included in your allowed 3,300 keystrokes.
 - Provide Complete Author Information
List all contributors and their institutional affiliations. The first author will be the corresponding author and asked to attend the IETS 2026 Annual Conference.
 - Select the Appropriate Section Preference
Choose the most relevant first and second sections preferences for your research to ensure proper review and placement in the program.
 - Proofread Thoroughly
Before submission, carefully review your abstract for errors, clarity, and adherence to guidelines. Consider having a colleague review it as well.
 - Submit Early
Don’t wait until the deadline on August 6, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. CT! Early submission allows time to address any technical issues and make corrections if needed.
