Student Competitions

The IETS Foundation hosts four exciting competitions for students to share their research and help fund their attendance at the IETS 2026 Annual Conference.

The CSIRO Best Poster Competition encourages graduate students to attend and participate in IETS 2026.
The Graduate Student Research Competition provides graduate students a platform to present their findings via poster presentation at IETS 2026 and compete for prestigious awards that acknowledge their scientific excellence in embryo technology.
The Undergraduate Poster Competition encourages undergraduate students to attend and participate in IETS 2026.
The Peter W. Farin Trainee Travel Scholarship provides financial support ranging from $500 to $1,500 for undergraduate, graduate, postdoctoral, and veterinary students to attend and present their work at IETS 2026.

NEW THIS YEAR:

Students entering the Graduate Student Research Competition or Undergraduate Student Poster Competition must mark the appropriate competition as their SECOND SECTION PREFERENCE during abstract submission.
Graduate students interested in entering the CSIRO Best Poster Competition will indicate so in a subsequent question after completing their first and second section preferences.
Students will submit competition application materials via the abstract submission system (excluding those applying for the Peter W. Farin Trainee Travel Scholarship, who will submit their application materials to the awards and nominations site). Learn more about submitting student competition documents.
If you are entering the Graduate Student Research Competition, CSIRO Best Poster Competition, or Undergraduate Student Poster Competition, the student competition verification form should be completed by your major professor/faculty supervisor to verify your student status and research novelty for IETS 2026. Please submit the completed form to the abstract submission system by August 20, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. CT.
